There are several services available to the clients of FoodTRACE. The primary service is the traceability platform to keep companies in compliance with current and expected legislation. The Bio-Terrorism Act 0f 2002 is the current legislation in which traceabilty requirements are to maintain one-up, one-down data on products you handle. You must know where your product came from and where it went and be able to advise the FDA or another authorized government agency of that information within 24 hours of their request. Upcoming legislation, HR 2749 in the House of Representatives (which has already passed the House) and SB 510, the matching bill in the Senate will determine the next required steps for traceability. The FoodTRACE system exceeds the traceability requisites in both of those bills.
In addition to providing the highest and most extensive platform for traceability, you can review the other services availabe in the dropdown menu including reporting, registrations, government compliance areas, training, recall assistance and others. Note that the majority of services available are at no extra charge from your monthly traceability fee.
